The Pacific Alliance was formed in 2011 and functions as a regional agreement between Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile to encourage the following:
- “Build in a participatory and consensual way an area of deep integration to move progressively towards the free movement of goods, services, resources and people.
- Drive further growth, development and competitiveness of the economies of its members, focused on achieving greater well-being, overcoming socioeconomic inequality and promote the social inclusion of its inhabitants.
- Become a platform of political articulation, economic and commercial integration and projection to the world, with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region.” (The Pacific Alliance Webpage)
The Pacific Alliance is putting on a Venture Capital Conference in Lima, Peru, March 31st – April 1st 2016. You can attend this event by purchasing tickets here: The Pacific Alliance Venture Capital Conference. Being an entrepreneur myself, these types of events have become an integral part of doing business. For those looking to start a venture and/or raise money for their ventures in one of these four countries, this conference will raise awareness and allow networking among those who can help entrepreneurs bring their ideas and businesses to fruition. In an effort to fully disclose I will be on a panel at this conference, so I would love to see any and all of you there. In addition, you will see some of the great minds in Venture Capital: @ founder of 500 startups, @ managing partner of Angel Ventures Mexico, @ author of “Nail it, Then Scale It” and founder of Alta Ventures, and many more.
